Graphics will snap to guides when the graphics are created, moved, or resized.
• To set the how close a graphic’s handle must be before it snaps to a guide, bring up the Tools pane of the Preferences window (Create->Preferences…) and enter a value in the Gravity field. This will affect snapping to Guides and snapping to points.
Guides can draw on top of or behind graphic objects. By default, guides draw behind graphics. |

To set whether guides draw above or below graphics, bring up the Tools pane of the Preferences window and check or uncheck the Guides On Top checkbox.
To control the Guides from your Toolbar, add the Grid/Guide menu tool to the Toolbar. | |
