Part 1: Drawing the Wave |

Step 1
The first step is to draw the undulating shape of the wave, for which we will be using the spline tool.
First select the spline tool (or press ‘b’), and create a series of curves within the line which get larger from left to right - there is no need to be massively precise, as we can neaten things up later.
(Hint: dragging as you click to form a point, will create a curve - useful if you don’t want to have to keep setting individual points to curves.) |

Step 2
Next we are going to introduce some colour to our wave. This is simply done by going to the effects pane of the info panel, and selecting some colours.
The outline effect I have used, is created by using the ‘neon’ feature, and setting the line variation and falloff colours to the first and second choices respectively. |
