Mask by Color |
|
|
The Mask by Color effect allows adding alpha transparency to a certain color of the graphic. This can effectively “extract” an image from a background.
Inputs
• Erase Color: The color used for the transparency.
• Threshold: A number that specifies the amount of color encompassed in the transparency (in three dimensional terms). The default is 0.5. The range is 0 (less color involved) to .99 (more color involved).
• Test each RGB component: If the pixel's color is within the threshold amount of the effect's color for each of the three components (r, g, b), then the pixel is "masked" (ie set to 100% transparent). When not selected, the threshold is the three dimensional distance to the pixel’s color from the selected color. |
