Making Customized Default Settings
Many of the effects used in iMaginator have customized default settings, designed to make the effect easy to see and use.
If you want to set your own defaults for effects, you can do that as follows:
1. Make an effect with the defaults that you want.
2. Save that effect to a file (drag from the Image Drag Well, or choose Save Effects from the File menu).
3. Look at the contents of the file (it’s an XML text file; it will open in any plain text editor). You’ll find the line <key>CIAttributeFilterName</key>, followed by a string with the name of the effect. Give your effect file that name. For example, if the CIAttributeFilterName is “CIShadedMaterial”, name your filter file: CIShadedMaterial.iFilter.
4. Place your filter in <your user name>/Library/Application Support/Stone/iMaginator/DefaultEffects/
iMaginator will look there for default effect settings before looking in its own Resources folder. |
