Mask Group |

Description: A Mask Group uses the top graphic to mask the underlying graphics in the group so that only the areas of the underlying graphic that are enclosed within the top graphic are visible. Use Mask Groups to crop images. |

Creation: Select two or more graphics. One of the graphics should be “on top of” or “in front of” the others. Choose Object->Group->Mask Group (Shift-Command-E).
Modification: Scaling, rotating, or skewing the Mask Group modifies the included graphics. The included graphics are not individually editable.
Object Info: Graphic Name
Effects: Stroke and Fill can be added but have no visual effect.
Aftereffects: Matrix and Rose
Double-click: Effect Info pane
HTML Output: An image of the type set in Web->Web Options…->Misc. If there is a background image which needs to show through the Mask Group, the Mask Group is output in PNG format. |
