Statement of Consciousness, for the PeaceBuzz.... by Pacal Enriquez Barraza   i am participating in this performance-’ritual of mourning’, not simply for the sacrifice, suffering, and death of the Iraqi’s, or the British, or the Americans. Rather, i mourn for this level of humanity that we have become, becuz i believe that we could’ve been so much more than this: this *pow*bang*boom*zoom* victory over anothers defeat. This level of thinking that sees blowing off the heads of babies/children/women/men/elders.....now or in the past....as some kinda victory or solution....depending on which side your looking from.   i mourn the ignorance/arrogance that believes corporate entities such as: mcdonalds, burgerking, exxon, lockheed-martin, wal-mart, etc. are the beacons of freedom and democracy, culture, or a “better, more civilized way of life”.   i mourn the drive for a corporate, imperialist takeover of this prescious globe, our Mother Earth.   i mourn the manifestation and ruling of corrupt, deceitful, governments upon this planet, bent upon greed, money, power, control, Xploitation, ism’s & skism’s. i mourn the achievement of high technology dependant on the blood and other diminishing resources of our Mother Earth.
