Spotlight is Apple’s searching technology, introduced in Mac OS X 10.4. With Spotlight, you can quickly search for documents based on the document’s properties and content.
To make iMaginator documents searchable using Spotlight, install the Spotlight plug-in file that's included in the iMaginator disk image.
To install the plug-in, drag the iMaginator.mdimportplugin file into the Spotlight folder in the top level Library folder (/Library/Spotlight).
This plug-in allows Spotlight to search on items set in the Properties (File->Show Properties) window:
Author
Company
Copyright
Title
Subject
Keywords
Comment
It also allows Spotlight to search on the names of effects and images used in the iMaginator document.
