Double-clicking on a tool both selects that tool and brings up the most appropriate pane in the Info window.
Selection: View Info
Rotate, Scale, Shear: The Size Info pane.
Rectangle, Circle, Straight Line, Freehand, Spline, Multi Line: Effects Info
Box Graphic, Rounded Box, Arc, Star, Table, Embed: Object Info

After you create a graphic with a graphic creation tool, the tool automatically reverts to the Selection tool.
To return to the graphic creation tool you just used, select Tools->Select Tool->Previous (Shift-Command-B) or (if not editing text), press the p key.
To make several graphics of the same type, press the Option key as you click on the tool. This makes your tool selection stick until you select a different tool. |
