Preferences: Image: Imported Images (page 1) |
 |
|
Location:
Copied: Image files that are dragged into a Create document are stored within the document. This increases the size of the Create document and ensures that all images are available to the document.
Linked: The Create document will store only the path of dragged in image files. If you move the image file, the next time you open the Create document, Create will display a dialog box asking you to relocate the document. | |

|
Advantages of linked images:
• Documents are smaller.
• Documents open and save faster.
• If the linked image is changed, the Create document will show the changed image. This can be an advantage or disadvantage, depending on your goals.
Advantages of copied images:
• The images stay with your document and will be transferred with your document.
• The images can't be accidentally lost by being moved or removed from your folders. |
