I keep hearing democracy
But I can’t see
I don’t hear my voice
I don’t hear whispers of little girls
Or women in the middle
Gravity
Pulling
Poor
And queer
And non-white
And non-male
And decentors
And protestors
And the mothers
And the children
And all of you
So from way down hear I have some company
So, maybe it’s the place to be
Being pulled down by this liberty-bush bullshit
And I want to wage war
on a country that doesn’t let dykes walk down the street feeling safe
I want to wage war on a country that didn’t count my vote
I want to wage war on a country that has an NRA
I want to wage war on this idea of democracy
Oh wait, I meant hypocrisy
I want to wage war on
On this idea of what is right
I don’t see what is right
So for all of you liberty fighters
All of you imperialist wasps
I am a scream
And screams don’t go away
We don’t go away.
