I drink arsenic water
eat bitter lies in the form of chemical fruit
I scream silently through smiles at old
white men
I wish to be free
free from Social Shackles
free from imperialist battles
free from the universal greed that
plants its seed in my chakras
umbilical baby feeds
off our blood
bleaches our skin
cuts our ties
crashes
the city
of our
selves
it’s our blood
it’s our flesh
it’s our city
the fences of ignorance spiraled
up our legs
with awareness we can crash them down
the chains shaking
the confines tumbling
umbilical baby
let them feed
no more
